I don't mind the 1500 bucks. But I won't buy any festool products. I've met too many guys with festool tracks and makita saws because the festool junker burnt out. Not to mention all the guys that got screwed when they bought their big miter saw that took a dump. I haven't heard anything good about their customer support. That guy "ave" took apart one of the track saws and it's literally diy grade. Screw them

It's similar to an idea I had for a flattener/slabber. My idea was to have the tool be modular so you could put a small bad saw on the sliding section to slab small logs with it as well. I love the idea of the cantilevered section on the cross slide with angle table to the side. That makes it way more useful. Nicely done.
